This month has gone by so fast! School coming and I still don't know what I'm doing for school. I'm not going to bother you with that, you can read that on my new personal blog! The link is down below.

I'm a little too unsure of what else I've made. I work on a lot of stuff like a lot of other knitters and crocheters, but that's different. I need to sort through my room so I can organize my stuff. I'm probably going to make another NY Giants Hat but it will be knitted and have letters. Or maybe a Minecraft hat? Who knows, right?

Spotlight pattern of July goes to Wanett Clyde's pattern Felicity. I love it and I will be making it...Eventually.

As you can see, still no pictures, but I lost my memory card so I can't do anything... Almost. I have pictures of my CTFxC hat but since I washed it, it's gotten much more slouch and I LOVE IT! I can't wait until the cooler months come so I can just rock what I've during the Spring/Summer!

June 2013 Projects

Well, um. I hate to say it but I barely crocheted this month. I've been knitting up a storm. Not really. I've trying to do cables without cables but the stupid thing is, well, STUPID! I used my circular knitting needles, but worked straight and used my straight needles to hold the three I took off. I saw a video on how to do it but I had a hard time. Other than failing at cables without cables, I knitted a hat; it's cream colored and right not I'm making another one which is the same cream and also a dark, tan-ish, color in stripes.

I've been think about starting a YouTube channel. It'd be about stuff... You'd have to wait to find out, I guess.

BRAIN SLUG!

Hey-o! I'm back...for now! *evil laugh* *stops* Well anyway, I was inspired to make an amigurumi. Amigurumi is currently my thing. I've been obsessed, nearly, because it's just sooooo fun to make one! I'm making a brain slug. you know, the same one from Futurama? I don't watch that show but I know that they have brain slugs. It's not green like I suppose they are usually but it's yellow. Yes, a yellow brain slug. Being a (almost) die-hard CTFxCer! CTFxC FTW! I even made a CTFxC hat! I still have to take pictures so I can put them on here but I lost my memory card. =( I know, sad right?

I don't know when I'll finish my brain slug but I will eventually.

April 2013 Projects

This month I decided to work on large projects. It's been a minuscule burden, but who cares, right? I never realized that making clothing could be easy until I saw Hectanooga1's simple, easy clothing patterns that any skill crocheter could do (as long as they aren't too new to learning the basic stitches and such). I haven't made anything yet, but it inspired me to get some crochet books from the library and start learning a few new things. It's been pretty easy understanding written patterns for me since I've started writing a few. I might post one on here and put it up on Ravelry as a free pattern, although, I want to sell most of them.

My Idea

Just a small update on my thinking for what I want to do soon. I'm thinking about making and donating blankets to veterans. I'm a Girl Scout and I thought that donating blankets would be a good way to earn my silver award. I need ideas on like designs and such things. I want them to look awesome. Colors I thought would be what I needed the most because I know I want to make a few chevron (ripple) afghans but I'm not sure yet.

Other than the veteran thing, I haven't crocheted much but I have made a couple of flowers for a hat that I'm making for one of my teachers daughters. It's going to be a white slouch beanie with a girly flower. She didn't  care what color it was as long as it was girly. I'm going to get some bobby pins so will be detachable so she can put it in her hair.

I've been trying to make a specific hat so I know how long it wil take me to make but I haven't felt up to it yet.

Aloha!

Anyway, this March I've been crocheting some random stuff. I've completed a wolf hat for my friend from school and it's probably my greatest masterpiece so far. In all truth, I love it ever so much, I want my own, I think I might make my own soon in grey, maybe. It's a wolf hat! It's light blue and its contrasting color in white. I think it's probably my greatest works of art! I'll make myself one during the summer.

I'll be making Easter baskets with...this stuff and a type of paint (can't give away my secrets) for Easter next year. I can't wait because I should have my Etsy shop up by then! ^_^  I NEED more yarn! I never have enough! I have two afghans I need to complete and not much else.

Guess what I found out like two seconds ago? That the stitch I used for my friend and her mother's hats in call the blanket stitch and someone has made a hat like it, that I've seen on Ravelry like, three minutes ago This upsets me. =( But hey! No one said I couldn't post mine, did they? I really don't car in all honesty.

So anyway, out should check that pattern by makeithandmade on Ravelry NOW! I'll post a the links to her pattern shop on Ravelery and the hat pattern below.

Just A Little Update

Hey dudes! I haven't posted since February 26th and sorry for the wait. I've been busy with school and crocheting and finding patterns on Ravelry. Recently (like fifteen minutes ago), I've begun making my little brother's hat (he's not really my little brother, but he's like one). It's just going to be a gray hat, I don't think anything special is going to be added. I made a wolf hat for another friend and a bracelet for another with her initials on it.  I've decided to start my March 2013 projects now so then I have all the things that I've made unlike last month which I still don't remember what else I made.

Soooo, I HATE that this month is soooo short! I have to get a book and do a project due Friday, March 1st and I haven't done either. I've been too busy crocheting, doing HOMEWORK (Why assign us HW if you're going to give us a project?!), and sleeping. So anyway my projects:

Forever...FOREVER!...

SO! It's been, like, a week since I last posted and I've been thinking about making an etsy shop. I don't know yet; that depends on my mother's decision because... I'm not an adult (frankly enough I don't want to be). If she says yes, it wouldn't really be up until maybe lat August or late September (because that's when fall starts =] ) That's because I want inventory! I don't want to have to make a bunch of stuff at the last minute like I do my homework (MWAHAHA!). So, yeah. I REALLY want to sell my crocheted items.

 I'm currently working on a blanket and an afghan hopefully I can get some pictures up by the end of the month for my monthly project update!

One of my sisters is supposed to be helping me  set up a Tumblr... That was promised two weeks ago.

I Crochet, Is That Okay?

HI! I'm Cortney. I am The Crocheter, The Writer, The Director, The Awesomest, The Actress, The Roman King, The Singer, and The Detective. I'm just that random teenager who knows how to crochet and is finally blogging  about it!

This is my crochet blog, as stated above. I'm here to teach you what I know about crocheting even though there are plenty more people who have had years of experience more than I do. The first step to crocheting.... THE BASICS! I MIGHT post some tutorials on YouTube, but I don't know yet because plenty of people already post them, but hey; what's one more?!


I hope you enjoy my posts! I'll also share some of my creations and at the start of each month, I'll post a list of items I've crocheted with, (hopefully) some pictures if my computer doesn't act stupid, from the month before. I can't wait to start!
